It is at the recording stage that much music takes its most memorable shape, and many ideas arise during production which enhance or develop your original theme into a more complete track. It's therefore very important to record your music in the right recording studio, with the right engineer producer.
Mantra CDs and Recording is an experienced, popular and well-reviewed music production and recording studios, conveniently located for the Welsh market near to Welshpool and Oswestry in Powys, Wales, as well as being on the border with Shropshire and near to Birmingham, Coventry, Cheshire and the Midlands. We specialise in song production, professional digital recording and short-run CDR production.
In addition we carry out audio mastering, sound restoration, and very economical short run CD duplication and glass mastering. Mantra CDs and Recording actually has its origins as a Welsh mastering house, specialist in audio mastering techniques.
We also offer song-writing, song arrangement and artist promotion.

Our recording studio experiences differ from most currently on the market, in that they are creative sessions where we help you develop your music in relaxed and informal surroundings. The days themselves are a standard 5 hour session at £199.75. (Further hours cost £28 per hour). During the session we can offer a variety of experiences. We will take the vocal artist through professional recording techniques, voice layering, microphone handling etc if desired, whist the song-writer will experience the production of his or her music to a commercial standard CD with a very active role in the whole process.
Instrumental musicians are also catered for in the sessions (which can be extended), and we are able to record a variety of instruments and develop the recordings whichever way you wish, by the addition of other sounds. It is possible to include others in your recordings also by arrangement with the studio. Our recent repertoire has included musicals, DJ recordings, studio engineer experiences, keyboards,classical singing and guitar, song arrangement, as well as traditional pop songs. The end products are never short of commercial, and often breathtakingly creative.
Artists often make a short holiday of the whole experience, staying at a local hotel or b and b.

Our recording studio packages and products are aimed at recording artists who wish to complete their album or demo under proper experienced guidance with the minimum of complication. We offer every part of the music production process - we can even assist in the initial song-writing, arrangement and performance if required! We aim for a professional outcome to every project, no matter how small. Most importantly, our engineers have a wealth and variety of experience to deal with the whole spectrum of styles and ideas they meet with from trance to folk and metal, male voice choirs to dance and punk and anything in between. An engineer who has an idea of where you are going can make the difference between the album of your dreams, created within budget, and a chaotic and expensive mess!
Mantra CDs and Recording carries out most recording projects at "the Beehouse" recording studios. The Beehouse is set in a stunning and very restful location which we feel enables artists to get to grips with their music under ideal and relaxing conditions. Follow this link to the technical information page, to see details of the high calibre hardware and software we use to achieve our results.Our recording and duplication prices are extremely competitive, from £28 per hour plus VAT on most recording projects, with discounts on longer projects. This includes the assistance of a skilled and creative engineer, and - where required - our music production team. Short runs of CDs can be duplicated from an amazing 80p per unit, and our artwork charges for short-run artwork are unmatched. Mantra CDs can also cater for long-run duplication needs under very favourable terms, through its sister site, MantraGlass. We also offer assistance with copyright issues at no additional charge.
Once recording is completed at the studios and duplicated through our CD duplication facility, we continue to take a professional interest in the career development of our recording artists, and miss no opportunity to promote them through joint activities locally, nationally or internationally. We run a music agency, "Giggerlist" for the benefit of performing artists, and frequently negotiate events on behalf of artists and bands who have recorded with us. MantraSound, the PA and Entertainment division of Mantra CDs and Recording is often asked to provide live entertainers and musicians, and some of our venues can offer you a perfect launching ground for promotion and distribution of your CDs. We also have a new online record shop "C'mon Records" which distributes CDs on the internet. In this way, your relationship with the studio is much more than just one of a recording artist - it is an organic process and network system by which you will develop your knowledge of opportunities, both locally to you and further afield. We consider ourselves very widely orientated as far as music studios are concerned and are happy to work in recording and developing any genre of music, having experience with most current and past styles, including indie track production, dance track production, eurovision tracks, choral works, metal, punk, electronica, folk, classical, ballad, rap, jazz, funk, reggae, blues, ballad, rock, and R and B.
